Just discovered this lovely oldie pub right on my doorstep, full of atmosphere, friendly and welcoming people and delicious food and wine. Good service. Easy parking too. Thank you for a lovely lunch with my best friend.

I went into the pub tonight feeling a little less than festive and was pleasantly surprised. On the way in I could see that the pub was well maintained, beautifully decorated and very clean. It's took me a little while to order my drink because there was quite a large selection, I usually go for an Ale but I went for the Shiraz and it was lovely. The bar Staff are prompt and friendly. I could tell there were a few regulars in the pub because there was a lot of laughter between bar staff and the customers, it was a lovely environment to be in. Reading the menu made me very hungry and the food was very well priced. But I cannot comment on the food because I had a pizza at home waiting. On the way out I went to the bar to ask for a Christmas menu. I was greeted by Gav. He advised me the pub had just been taken over and was under New Management. What I was impressed by came next. He was clearly enthusiastic in particular about what they are going to do for the customers going forward. I explained that my mother was eager to try new restaurants in the area. He took time to explain to me about what plans lie ahead for future events as well as the Christmas menu which is best booked in advance. It was nice to know that the Christmas menu was running into January because personally I won't have time before Christmas. He noted that my Mum was older and was excited to show me an events board which was inside the entrance highlighting future events for all age groups. He showed me in the restaurant where it would be held and it seemed big enough to cause a great atmosphere but not overwhelmingly large for somebody my mum's age. I think it might be a great place for her to go to socialise and have a great night out. It was refreshing to see somebody quite passionate about what they were doing and in the future I would happily give them my custom. I feel like it's the kind of place way you can go to have a couple's night out, family meal, events or a quiet drink in a nice atmosphere. In my opinion, anyone you take there will be pleasantly surprised, I have tried to take some pictures on the way out of the hidden gem. Thank you for cheering me up ☺️

Went for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Gavin, who was the only person working on the bar really looked after us and was super friendly. The food came really quickly and was very tasty and well priced. Would highly recommend

Two meals were very good but there was no gluten free option, although a no gluten free menu was available? A member of the party was coeliac and eventually given a rather poor prawn cocktail? We were informed that the situation should have been mentioned when booking?? Clarification of this should be out on the website.

Visited on a Sunday and was greeted by a lovely man called Ian. As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly and the layout of the pub was great. We had our food cooked by a lady called Sarah, to which it was amazing. Would definitely visit again! Not too far from the Trafford centre.

Smashing pub, was graciously hosted by Ian. Had a great chat with the manager Sarah who is lovely, was also served my steak & ale pie by the smiling chef himself Darren. Super service, great food and an amazing team. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. The Pie was great I don’t know how the chef does it!
